About

Hey, I’m 沙門. It is “Śramaṇa” in Sankrit and it means “seeker, one who performs acts of austerity, ascetic”.

But I love cars, computing, new experiences, and that first sip and smell of coffee in the morning that comes close to convincing you all is right with the world.

When I find the time, I write here about the shiny, sparkly things that catch my eye. You might enjoy reading about software, Mac, gadgets or SUBARU love.

I was born in Fukuoka, Western Japan and grown up in Dazaifu (大宰府). Dazaifu was established in the late 7th century and served as the administrative center of the entire island of Kyushu for over 500 years. Dazaifu was pivotal for Japan’s diplomatic relations and organizing the country’s defenses. Nowadays, Dazaifu is a small, quiet city on the outskirts of the large city of Fukuoka. But I could feel history there.

When I was seventeen, I found we can buy a computer. Since that, I love computing. Over 25 years, I’ve been working as a systems engineer in one of the biggest computer companies.
